She is also survived by her sister, Constance Ward of Arlington; and by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew.
Born in Boston in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Axel Daniel Wilson and Rosalie Elizabeth (Peterson) Wilson.
Ruth has been a resident of Weston for over 72 years and previously resided in Arlington. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and received her degree from Bryant and Stratton in Boston.
Ruth loved the outdoors, swimming and spending time along the coast of Maine.
At the request of her family services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in Ruth’s memory may be sent to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, 200 Westboro Rd., North Grafton, MA 01536.
