MassBay Community College to Hold Veterans Back to School Information Session

MassBay Community College is proud to announce a Veterans Back to School Information Session scheduled for Thursday December 6th at 5:30 pm on the Wellesley Hills campus, 50 Oakland Street.  As a state institution, veterans can often attend MassBay free of charge.

The event will outline the programs and services MassBay offers to meet the unique needs of our returning soldiers, dependents and reservists.  Attendees will learn about our more than 60 career-oriented associate degree and certificate programs.  They will meet admissions staff, financial aid staff, and the College’s Veterans Affairs Coordinator.  The discussion will also include GI Bill benefits and how to access them, financial aid tips and requirements, and the free academic tutoring, career services, and additional support services MassBay offers to ease veterans’ transition to college life.  The event concludes with a tour of the campus, which features “The Bunker,” a resource center dedicated for use by our veteran students, staff and faculty.

For the past three consecutive years, MassBay has been named a Top Performer in Military Advanced Education’s “Guide to Military Friendly Colleges and Universities.”

This event is free and open to the public.  For more information and to RSVP, contact Peter Schilling in the Admissions Office at pschilling@massbay.edu.  To learn more about MassBay's Veterans services, please visit www.massbay.edu/veterans.
