Weston Resident Co-Chairs Beyond Boston Luncheon to Fight Cancer

Weston resident Deborah First served as a co-chair for the fourth Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers Executive Council, Beyond Boston Luncheon.

The event took place Nov. 15 at the Wellesley Country Club.

The luncheon raises "awareness and provides insight into the innovative research that is happening at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Executive Council’s financial support," according to a press release. "Since 2004, the Executive Council has raised more than $9 million to fund early stage research in breast and ovarian cancers and has educated women about issues that affect their health."
