Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 15

Last day to register to vote, meetings tonight and more for your day.

 

1. Last day to register to vote: Today is the last day to register to vote in the presidential primary election on March 6. The town clerk's office in Town Hall will be open from 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. for those who wish to register, and mail-in registration forms, available at Town Hall, must be postmarked by midnight.

2. High school sports: Games today include freshman boys' basketball vs. Wayland High School, at Wayland Middle School, 4 p.m.; girls' varsity ice hockey vs. Concord-Carlisle High School, the Rivers School, 333 Winter St., 7:50 p.m.; and boys' varsity ice hockey at Attleboro High School, 8 p.m.

    3. Library events: Events at the Weston Public Library include an ongoing course on keeping a journal as well as storytimes for two-year-olds and three-, four- and five-year-olds.

    4. Meetings: It's a busy night for meetings--those of the Historical Commission, Permanent Building Committee, Traffic and Sidewalk Committee, Board of Appeals and Town Meeting Advisory Committee will be held. Click here for more information.

    5. Outside: Today should be cloudy with a high near 49 and a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
