  2. In a tournament round, field hockey plays against Reading today at 2:30 p.m. at the high school. Watch for our coverage later today.
  3. The middle school fall play, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" begins tonight, at 7 p.m., at the Amy Potter Center.
  4. The Walden Forum tonight will feature Tom Ashbrook, host of NPR's "On Point." The forum begins at 7:30 p.m. at First Parish Wayland.
  5. According to a few different places on the Internet, today is Sandwich Day. What's your favorite sandwich? A favorite at Patch HQ is turkey on sourdough bread with sliced avocado and tomato. Let us know in the comments what you like to have.
