Poll: Best Place to Walk Your Dog in Weston?

This week's poll asks where you go to walk your dog.

Weston Patch wants to know as part of our weekly Best of Patch Readers' Choice series, where's the best place in Weston to walk your dog? Don't have a dog? Where do you like to stroll, and why?

Here's how it works. Vote in the poll below. Then add comments supporting your decision. You can also leave a review on the trail's listing in the Patch Places pages. All count toward figuring the winner.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll isn't scientific, it isn't the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments on this story and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey. To see the complete rules, view the PDF attched to this article.

For this week's poll, cast your vote on the best place to walk your dog. The choices are: Cat Rock, Highland Street Forest, Doublet Hill, Ash Street Conservation Lands, College Conservation Area, Forbes Conservation Land, Pine Street Town Forest, or Chestnut Street Woodland School Area, or Blaney Aquifer.

Have a different place in mind? Leave a comment and let us know where you like to go.

I think the best place to walk in Weston is the Kings Grant area. The reasons: (1) I get great exercise doing the ups and downs, as well as the moderately level portions of the streets - this helps to limber up my aging, stiff back; (2) the drivers are polite, generally safety conscious and drive within the low speed limit; and (3) if I meet my time & distance goals, I might stop afterwards at Dairy Joy for a well deserved soft-serve treat. And it's also a treat for the eyes, with its bucolic scenery. Second choice would be Cat Rock. JRS

John:
I was walking myself (sans leash) around Hobbs Brook Road Saturday afternoon and it was sad to see large white bags near the disabled Hobbs Brook dam. What an eyesore! The DPW let it rupture in 2010 and it is still a mess. Some people want to remove the dam altogether and breed mosquitoes! I hope people consider voting for Article 25 to reconstruct the dam and contribute private funds to support the project. The MWRA has turned the Ash Street Reservoir into a deforested disaster like Saruman's Isengard in LOTR. Natural beauty is rare and needs to be protected.
