Massachusetts State Police have announced they will conduct a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Middlesex County, of which Weston is a part.

"It will be operated during varied hours, the selection of vehicles will not be arbitrary, safety will be assured, and any inconveniences to motorists will be minimized with advance notice to reduce fear and anxiety," wrote police in a statement.

The checkpoint will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3 into Sunday, Sept. 4.
