Police Arrest Driver for OUI, His Girlfriend for Domestic Assault

The information below was supplied by the Weston Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

It was early on St. Patrick's Day morning when a Weston patrol officer noticed a vehicle traveling at about 10 miles per hour down a dark road.

At about 1 a.m., the officer watched as the driver pulled the vehicle over on his own in the vicinity of South Avenue and Newton Street.

According to Weston Police, the officer approached and noticed that the driver's glasses were broken and he had visible cuts to his face and eye. The officer also noticed that the man appeared intoxicated.

Police subsequently arrested Brendan Sullivan, 29, of 148 Danforth St., Apt. 1F in Framingham, charging him with operating under the influence of alcohol.

An investigation revealed that Sullivan's girlfriend, 28-year-old Christina Rosenthal, left the vehicle when Sullivan pulled over because he was unable to see. Police located Rosenthal walking along the street a short distance away.

The police report states that Rosenthal was angry at Sullivan for driving after having spent the night drinking in a bar and a physical argument ensued. Police arrested Rosenthal, who lives at the same address as Sullivan, and charged her with domestic assault and battery.
