When Is the Last Day of School?

As February vacation winds down with snow showers in the forecast for three out of the next seven days, some are wondering when the Concord Schools are scheduled to let out for summer vacation.

As February vacation winds down and we head into a weekend wherein forecasts are calling for up to another foot of snow, it seems like an appropriate time to peek ahead at when the 2012-2013 school year might end.

According to the Concord Schools most recently updated calendar, published Monday, Feb. 11, the tentative final day of school will be Thursday, June 20.

That’s a half-day for students K-8, according to the Concord Public Schools calendar, and a professional development day will be held Friday, June 21, for CPS and Concord-Carlisle High School.

Planned makeup days, if needed, will be June 24, 25 and 26. And the CCHS graduation, meanwhile, is scheduled for Saturday, June 8.

Of course, this is all subject to change, what with possible snow showers in the forecast for three out of the next seven days.
