The senior class will sponsor a comedic hypnotist show tonight at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets will be $10 at the door and the show will end around 8:30. This bend-of-reality spectacular will be appropriate for all ages, and families are encouraged to join for this night of comedy and magic happenings!
If there was ever a time to know what is going through someone's head when they are not consciously sharing it, witnessing them participate in a hypnotist show is the best way to do that.
Just sitting in the cafeteria during lunch, I can see the faces of my friends as their bodies move to the line or scatter back to class. For the most part (thanks to the snug size of Weston), I know a lot about them: who they are, what they do, where they are heading in the future, but I never know what is immediately on their minds ... understandably.
But wait! There is some sort of magic involved in the act of hypnosis. There is a way to make a person openly state or express what is right on the tip of their tongue, or mind. An invasion of privacy? More so an insightful investigation.
The first hypnotist show I attended revealed secret crushes and embarrassing dance moves, but also revealed the character of the people in the hypnotic state. That was very, very cool (especially when you already know the person up there doing the Austrian Waltz with someone half his or her size ...)
But probably the most compelling part of any hypnotist show is the variety and unpredictability of the show. This is a called a "comedy show" for a reason; you don't know what or who will come out of a shell no one has ever before cracked. So come, dare to be amazed, and witness magic happen right before your eyes!
