Submit Your Music for New RADAR Award

Massachusetts-based non profit, Pavoh.org will partner with The New England Music Awards (NEMA) to present The New England RADAR Award created to identify talented New England musicians under the age of 21. RADAR stands for "Rising Artist Detection and Recognition" - the goal of the new award program. Submissions from musicians and bands in all genres are now being accepted through November 30, 2013 at www.Pavoh.org or via www.nemusicawards.com. Submission is free. All entrants must be under 21 as of October 1, 2013 and must be resident(s) of New England. Winners will be announced on January 1, 2014. Follow the award on Twitter @MakeYourMusic #RadarNE or @NEMusicAwards #NEMACON2014 and on Facebook www.facebook.com/Pavoh.org.

"We know that young musicians are the future of music in New England," said Joseph Graham, Founder of The New England Music Awards. "We were approached by several groups to include young people and we are excited to partner with Pavoh.org to make this happen."

A volunteer selection committee of music industry professionals will choose up to three winners to comprise the "RADAR Class of 2014." Winners will be introduced at a special concert that will launch The New England Music Awards on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center, 50 Warren St., Lowell, MA. The "RADAR Class of 2014" will perform at the Friday event, receive their award and a valuable prize package, and represent The New England RADAR Award at a number of select gigs throughout the year. The New England RADAR Award will replace Pavoh's Featured Artist Contest, and in the same spirit, the selection process will focus on the artist's musicality and originality.

"Pavoh is building a network to empower young musicians," explained Founder, Laura Lamere. "The reach and impact of this new award just wouldn't be possible without The New England Music Awards."

The New England Music Awards are presented every year to the musicians who call New England their home and whose dedication, spirit, and achievements over the last year have established them as a contributing force to New England's music scene.
