Weston Resident Todd Finard Named Board Chair at Hebrew SeniorLife

Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL), the largest provider of senior health care and senior living communities in New England, has named Todd Finard as Chair of the organization’s Board of Directors. Todd has been a devoted volunteer leader at HSL for almost 20 years, having recently served on the HSL Board as Chair Elect and on the Governance and Development Committees, and previously as President of the Friends of Hebrew SeniorLife.

“The fact that one of Boston’s brightest young leaders is so passionate about senior care speaks to the importance of the issue,” said Lou Woolf, President and CEO, Hebrew SeniorLife. “Significant change is sweeping through health care and senior care in particular, and Todd is helping us engage a new generation to guide us as we strive to redefine the experience of aging for all seniors.”

Todd is CEO of Boston-based Finard Properties and a partner of Finard Coventry Hotel Management.  In his capacity as CEO, Todd is responsible for the strategic planning and ongoing growth of the Finard Properties portfolio.

“Given my experience as a grandson, son-in-law and nephew of family members who live in Hebrew SeniorLife communities, and as the son of a former Board Chair, I have a deep-seated perspective that each of us, regardless of age, is impacted by the issues facing seniors,” said Finard. “I am so enthusiastic about this issue, and I invite others to join us as we pursue innovations in how people experience the aging process – where and how they live, the medical care they receive, and the research that informs all our work.”

Finard’s dedication to Boston’s non-profit communities extends beyond his involvement at HSL. He is also on the Board of Managers at the Hyde Park YMCA. He was also a founding member of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) Next Generation Housing Corporation and serves on the Board of Governors at CJP. Todd lives in Weston with his wife, Andrea, and three children.
