BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
Where/When: Weston Town Hall, 11 Townhouse Road, Weston, Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.
Why Go: See a display of antique and classic cars all along the town green and in front of Town Hall. This event will be held rain or shine.
Pricing: Free to get in; charge for refreshments. Proceeds benefit the Weston Rotary Club.
Where/When: Tavernside Park, next to St. Julia Church & Rectory, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston, Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m. to noon
Why Go: The Weston Community Children's Association (WCCA) kicks off the school year at Tavernside Park with a bake sale, lemonade stand and bookswap. Bring the kids and come meet friends old and new.

Where/When: Golden Ball Tavern, 662 Boston Post Road, Weston, Saturday, Sept. 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: More than 100 antiques dealers will be at the tavern to showcase their wares. Admission also gets you a tour of the historic tavern.
Pricing: $7 general admission; $25 for early-bird admission at 7 a.m.
Where/When: Wayland Town Beach, 25 Parkland Drive, Wayland, Saturday, Sept. 24, 8 a.m. to noon
Why Go: Come one, come all to the "learn to row" and pancake breakfast event held by the Weston-Wayland crew team. Residents of all ages are invited to attend. Those wishing to hit the water will be accompanied by experienced rowers, an experienced coxswain and one of the team's coaches.
Pricing: $10 per person/rower; $20 per family (breakfast only); $30 per person (breakfast and learn to row)

Where/When: Waltham Fields Community Farm, 240 Beaver St., Waltham, Saturday, Sept. 24, 2 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Bring the whole family and come celebrate farming and harvest activities in Waltham at Waltham Farm Day. Enjoy cider-pressing, live music, games, art projects, gardening activities, cooking demonstrations using farm-fresh produce and chicken and bee activities hosted by the Waltham 4-H Clubs. A free shuttle service will transport event attendees from Waltham Commons
(across from the commuter rail station) starting at 2 p.m., sponsored by the City of Waltham mayor's office.
