We've got you covered for kids' activities this weekend.

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children. Each week, we'll give you the info on the best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: Danny's Place, 1 Charter Rd, Acton, Friday, Feb. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: A concert fundraiser featuring groups Stereo Bliss and Would. Danny's Place works with Acton groups serving junior high school and high school youth and provides a space for young people to hang out and socialize as well as providing activities, workshops, classes and scheduled events.

Pricing: $5 for non-members.

Where/When: Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, 280 Eliot St (Rt.16), Natick, Friday, Feb. 18 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Come with the whole family to learn about the screech and great horned owl while prowling for them in the light of the full moon.

Pricing: Adults $10 members/$12 non-members, children $6 members/$8 non-members. Registration is required.

Where/When: Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation, 154 Moody St. Waltham, Saturday, Feb. 19 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: The annual Model Engineering Show held at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation "Mini Machines on Parade" features the New England Model Engineering Society. The event also exhibits gasoline engines, aircraft engines, locomotives, clocks, model boats, and various contraptions of their own design.

Pricing: The Model Engineering Show is included with general museum admission, $6/adults, $4/seniors and students. Children under 6 years old are free.

Where/When: 510 Moody St., Waltham, Friday, Feb. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Why Go: Kids in grades three to six are invited to play at the Waltham Recreation Department with Wii, sports, board games and more.

Pricing: $30

Where/When:  Gore Place, 51 Gore St., Waltham, on Saturday, Feb. 19, from noon to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Explore the 45-acre grounds of the Governor Gore Estate with a backpack full of activities. These self-guided tours can include a trip to the farm to visit llama, goats, chickens and sheep. Snow shoe rentals are also available for kids and adults.
