Kid-Friendly Fun: Weston's Memorial Pool and Dairy Joy

Take advantage of time with your kids and get out and enjoy these hot spots. Your Patch Passport gives you options for great local spots for kid-friendly fun.

Swimming and ice cream: Two elements for a perfect summer, no matter if you're a kid or an adult.

If you live in Weston, you're in luck, because both options are easily accessible for residents.

Memorial Pool, located off Alphabet Lane next to and , is open to Weston residents and their guests. Weston residents can get a badge at the Recreation Department, or pay $5 per visit with proof of residency. Kids under 2 are free.

From June 19 to Aug. 12, the pool is open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. From Aug. 12 to Aug. 24, the pool is open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. From Aug. 24 to Aug. 29, the pool is open from noon to 6:30 p.m. daily. It will be open Labor Day weekend and until Sept. 6 from noon to 6:30 p.m.

, at 331 North Ave., has not just ice cream but also hambugers and hot dogs, fries, fried seafood and frozen yogurt. It's open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is a great place to take the kids for dinner or dessert, or both.
