A small crowd gathered at the Weston Community Center on Friday morning to remember those from Weston who have defended the United States from military threats over the years.

The ceremony was led by Don Bumpus, a Weston veteran who served in the Air Force in the early 1960s.

The veterans agent, Stanley Spear, works out of Wellesley and covers the West Suburban Veterans Services District. He is in Weston at the Council on Aging on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon, and is available afternoons by appointment.
