Traffic Alert: Saturday Road Closure in Weston

If you're planning to be in the vicinity of Alphabet Lane on Saturday, take note.

"Due to critical utility roadway crossings on Alphabet Lane, the town will need to close Alphabet Lane to through traffic on Saturday, Dec. 8," according to a message from the town. "This work needs to happen on the weekend to minimize disruption to the entire case campus."

The specific work to be accomplished is extensive and the road will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until the work is completed that afternoon or evening.

Some specific traffic notes, according to the announcement:

• All incoming traffic to the Senior Center, Recreation Center a Field School will need to use the School Street entrance in front of  Field School to access the Community Center.
• Traffic exiting the Senior Center & Community Center bound South to Wellesley Street can still use Alphabet Lane exit directly across from the Senior Center pedestrian entrance (left turn only in front of pink barn).
• All other exiting traffic from the Senior Center, Community Center & Field School will need to use the School Street exit in front of Field School.
