Why Go: The kids will be out of school for the Veterans Day holiday and you'll probably need something to keep them entertained. Plus, who wouldn't want the chance to pet a flying squirrel. Wayland Children and Parents Association is sponsoring this event, which will feature multiple animals and refreshments for purchase following the event.
Price: $6 for WCPA members; $8 for non-members; Children under 1 are free.
How to Brew Your Own Beer Seminar
When/Where: Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Chelmsford Agway, 24 Maple Rd, Chelmsford.
Why Go: Sure you can buy a wide selection of craft beer at your nearest store, but think how much more satisfying it will be to make your own? Learn everything you need to know to make your beer at home and then stick around for the indoor farmers' market.

Coffee House on the Rocky Plain
When/Where: Saturday at 7 p.m. at Sudbury Unitarian Universalist, 327 Concord Rd, Sudbury.
Why Go: Live acts will entertain audiences with folk music. Guests will enjoy dessert as they listen to the music.
