Who Will You Nominate for a J. Ward Carter Civic Award?

The awards align with the town of Weston's Tercentennial celebration.

As part of the Weston Tercentennial celebration slated for January, an award will be given to a few citizens who have gone above and beyond when it comes to contributions to Weston,

The J. Ward Carter Civic Award, named for the former executive director and town administrator who served 52 years in Weston, will “recognize those persons whose contributions to the Town of Weston are exemplary,” according to the town’s website.

The committee is accepting nominations who meet the following criteria:

  • Historical contributions that greatly enhanced the quality of life in Weston
  • Improved the cultural, civic and/or business status of the Town
  • Demonstrated extraordinary commitment to one’s community well beyond normal civic expectations

Nominees must have accomplished their work at some point in the last 25 years.
