Get, Prepare, and Nail that Audition:  Breaking into the Business and Audition Preparation

In this workshop, students will learn the essentials of audition preparation that any professional or aspiring actor should know, such as how to prepare a headshot and resume, what to wear/what not to wear, etiquette before, during, and after the audition, and information about how to find auditions in the first place. In addition to practical knowledge, students will learn important skills such as how to find and prepare an appropriate monologue, how to approach a cold reading, what to do once they're in the audition room, and warm-up techniques. Students will learn how to have the confidence and presence required for a successful audition. This workshop culminates in a mock audition, where students will "audition" with material they have worked on during the 6 week period.
