Nearby Starbucks Approved
A new Waltham location will be the closest Starbucks to Weston.

The Waltham City Council on Monday approved a new Starbucks location for 1265 Main St. -- near Route 128 and not far from the Weston line.
The City Council unanimously approved the special permit application for Starbucks to construct a new location with a drive-thru at 1265 Main St. (the Polaroid site). The approval comes more than a year after the location was first proposed.
There is no word on when the location will open, but construction at the site is progressing.
The approval marks the first time the city has approved a Starbucks. The council has denied previous attempts to open a Starbucks in Waltham.
The location will be the closest Starbucks to Weston.
