A brand-new tenant in Weston's shopping center on Boston Post Road, Weston Eye Care gives patients the chance to have their eyes examined by an optometrist and have their lenses fitted by an optician at the same location, according to Demitri Melikhov, who is the optician at the store which also employs a lab tech to help out.
Melikhov, who lives in the area, came up with the idea for the business after realizing that Weston center would be more complete if it offered optical services.

He said that the company's website will eventually allow customers to schedule eye exams as well as view Weston Eye Care's collection so that they will be more informed should they decide to go to the store in person.
Customers will have a choice of a variety of brands including Gucci, Brooks Brothers, Kate Spade, Tom Ford, Ray Band, Vera Wang, Dolce and Gabbana, Oakley and Wiley X.

Dr. CJ Galatis, the optometrist who has her own office in the store, has been on the job for 25 years and is affiliated with the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Galatis currently has an office in Brookline.
Melikhov said while the store is well stocked that all the inventory is not in yet.
He said those who give referrals to Weston Eye Care are given a 20 percent discount and that he would not charge for repairs on glasses.
The store is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is located at 407 Boston Post Road.
