Tap into Wellness at Wilton's Newest Spa

January 6, 2014  (WILTON, Conn.) -- The New Year has arrived and brings with it our resolutions. Hopes for weight loss top many lists, as do goals to exercise more and to quit unhealthy habits. In short, January marks a time when people seek to better themselves. Enter URA The Spa, Wilton’s new addition and haven for health and wellness, located at 444 Danbury Road, near the Cannondale Historic District.

Owner, Heather Bova, originally hails from Los Angeles and moved to Connecticut a dozen years back. A resident of Easton and mother of two boys, Bova has been a fixture in the Wilton community, as she formerly partnered in a local spa, where she forged both friendships and a business following. An active member of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Bova is thrilled to launch URA The Spa in the heart of town.

URA debuted in late December to accommodate those seeking holiday pampering, and has continued to attract a clientele in search of well being. Bova chose the name, “URA,” as its origin translates into all things pleasant -- passion, healing, love, generosity, renewal, refinement and the heather plant, reflecting her very name. URA represents the letter “U” in the Ancient Ogham Celtic alphabet, and its symbol serves as the spa’s logo. The name seems fitting as Ms. Bova aims for her business to be “An escape where people leave refreshed and energized. I want URA to transcend the traditional spa and be an enhancement of the soul. We all need to recharge.”

URA offers this positive outcome and more. Bova’s longtime colleague, Kelly Daily, manages spa operations and is also a certified aesthetician. Staffed by seasoned therapists, as well as dermatologist, Dr. Alicia Zalka, who will be on site twice monthly for injectables, URA will meet a range of customer needs.

“When I met Heather, I was very impressed with her extensive knowledge of whole-body healing. Her staff is professional and her heartfelt dedication to clients is a bonus. I’ve only had positive spa experiences under her guidance,” said frequent Wilton customer, Maria Stepnowsky.  Additionally, the spa offers facials -- one using Shira organic products -- as well as a variety of massages during which Young Living Organic Essential Oils can be applied, should the client so choose. URA’s menu of services also includes reflexology, cranial sacral therapy, Reiki, Ayurvedic treatments, facial peels, microdermabrasion, waxing and tanning. All services, except medial aesthetics, can be bought as a bundle of six at a 20% discount. Customers consult with the staff prior to their treatment to determine the approach that will yield a beneficial experience. “What sets us apart is pinpoint customization, our therapists gear their work toward your specific needs,” said Bova.
