Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 2
A presentation on special education, teen events, holiday craft fair, and more for your Friday in Weston.
1. Education: The public is invited to attend a presentation about special education, “What is Special Education Really? Parents’ Rights and Procedural Safeguards,” at 10:30 a.m. at Case House, 89 Wellesley St.
2. For teens: Events for teens today include a showing of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” at Weston Middle School, sponsored by the 7th grade student council; a showing of “Monte Carlo” for middle- and high-school teens at 3:15 p.m.at the library; and the first freshman class event—a pizza, movie and dessert night—starting at 6:30 p.m. at WHS.
3. Holiday arts and crafts: Following an opening reception last night, the Weston Arts & Crafts Association’s Holiday Show & Sale continues at the Josiah Smith Tavern Barn from 10 a.m-6 p.m.

4. Playgroup: Parents and caregivers of young children can stop in at a , held every Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Community Center for children preschool-age and younger.
