5 Things: School Committee Will Talk, Special Ed, Case Project

A few things you need to know on April 4, 2013, in Weston.

1. School Committee Meeting Tonight. The Weston School Committee will be discussing the Case Campus Master Plan, special education and a third quarter FY13 budget review at tonight's meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Case House.

2. Additional Meetings. The Finance Committee is also scheduled to meet tonight, with plans to review and make recommendations on articles in the 2013 Annual Town Meeting Warrant. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Weston Town Hall.

3. ADD/ADHD Workshop. Dr. Jolene Ross will be at the Wseton Public Library tonight to discuss brain mapping and drug-free methods to treat learning and behaviorial problems.

4. It's Not Right in Weston ... But if you're a poetry buff (or even poetry curious) there's no reason you can't take part. The Wayland Public Library is in the midst of a Wayland Reads Poetry program that features discussions and other poetry-focused events. Today, anchor poems of Wayland Reads Poetry, "Books" by Billy Collins and "Out at Lanesville" by David Ferry, will be discussed at the Wayland library.

5. Dr. King Assassination. On this date in 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was assassinated while standing on a hotel balcony in Memphis, Tenn. There's more info on History.com.
