5 Things: Nomination Papers, Meetings, Struggling Reader Talk and More

A few things you need to know on Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Weston.

1. Nomination Papers Reminder. There's still time to submit nomination papers to run for a position in Weston's Annual Town Election. You have any March 25 to collect the appropriate number of signatures and submit the papers to the Registrars of Voters.

2. Morning Meetings. The Weston Planning Board is meeting at 8 a.m. to discuss a zoning amendment related to the Josiah Smith Tavern/Old Library. The Council on Aging is also meeting this morning. Click the links for agendas.

4. Talk on Helping Struggling Readers. Dr. Bruce Rosow will be at the Weston Public Library this morning to talk about the components of the readings brain and how to employ the "The Simple View of Reading."

5. 'Who Shot J.R.?' The line became part of American pop culture history on this date in 1980 when "Dallas" aired the famous season-ending cliffhanger in which J.R.
