5 Things: Normal Hours Resume, Winterfest Update, Meetings and More

A few things you need to know on Jan. 22, 2013, in Weston.

1. Back to Normal. After being closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, normal hours resume today for Weston Town Hall, and Weston Public Library as well as state and federal offices.

2. Meetings Today. The Board of Health, Planning Board and Conservation Commission meet today. For details and agendas, see the Town of Weston calendar.

3. Plan Ahead for Winterfest. The Weston300 Winterfest is scheduled to take place Jan. 26 at the Weston Town Green. It was postponed from its original date due to uncooperative weather.

4. Find Us on Facebook. Are you following Weston Patch on Facebook? If not, you could be missing out on up-to-the-minute updates on news important to you in Weston.

5. Because We Know You'll Want to Celebrate Next Year, we offer the news that yesterday, Jan. 21, was Squirrel Appreciation Day. Admittedly, there were other things going on yesterday (Presidential Inauguration, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, etc.), but the squirrel should not go unrecognized. And no, we didn't make this up -- a wildlife rehabilitator in North Carolina did.
