5 Things: Schools Budget Vote, Children and Language, and Irving Berlin

A few things you need to know on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Weston.

1. Language Development Talk. The Lincoln Public Library will play host tonight for a talk by Apple Valley Montessori faculty talk on how language is developed among children. The presentation is free, but registration is required.

2. Small Talk for English Language Learners. There is no signup necessary to take part in this conversation group for adult learners of English at the Weston Public Library. Join the conversation from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

3. School Committee Budget Vote. The Weston School Committee agenda indicates that the committee will vote tonight on its FY14 budget recommendation, which currently includes some cuts to existing school personnel. Here's the agenda.
