5 Things: Town Board Vacancies, Parmenter Volunteers and More

It's back to work and school and we have Five Things You Need to Know Today in Weston.

1. Town Board Vacancies. The Town of Weston is looking for volunteers to serve on the Minuteman High School Committee and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

2. Walking for Health. If you're looking for a chance to set an exercise precedent prior to the holidays, perhaps the Brisk Walking Group is for you. The group leaves from Ye Olde Cottage Restaurant at 8:30 a.m. sharp on Tuesdays and walks rain or shine.

3. Parmenter Volunteer Information Session. The Parmenter Board of Trustees is hosting an information session at Sandy Burr for individuals interested in learning about volunteer opportunities with Parmenter.

4. Employment Workshops Rescheduled. The remaining workshops with employment specialist Gary Gekow have been rescheduled. Tonight's workshop, Cover and Thank You Letter Review, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Nov. 20. Check out the library website for other rescheduled dates.

5. We Want Your Events/Announcements. It's simple to post your own events and announcements to Wayland Patch. Just sign in with your username and password, go to the Events or Announcements section of the site, click "Add An Event/Announcement, and fill in the blanks.
