Weston Town Meeting Advisory Committee's majority report and 2 minority reports to the moderator represent a year's worth of work on how to improve town meeting. Why have the selectmen voted to start their own WTMAC, going over the same ground we already covered? I wrote one of the minority reports and signed on to all three of the reports because I feel they all have something of value to say about town meeting. Too bad our selectmen chose to take their bizarre action before the voters even had a chance to read our reports, never mind approve or disapprove our recommendations. All of this will make for a very interesting May town meeting, with citizen petitions putting numerous matters before the voters in an effort to reverse some of the very stupid decisions made by our current Board of Selectmen.
