Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 7

Registering young voters, evening meetings and more for your day today.

1. Student voters: The League of Women Voters will be at Weston High School during lunch today to register students who will be 18 by the date of the presidential primary on Tuesday, March 6. Students should bring licenses or know the last four numbers of their Social Security number to register. In Massachusetts, anyone registered as "unenrolled" (Independent) may choose either a Republican or Democratic ballot in the primary.

2. Dam update: The Conservation Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Among the items scheduled to be discussed is a public discussion on Hobbs Dam that the commission recently held.

3. Meetings: Other meetings include the Planning Board at 7 p.m. and the Board of Assessors at 6:45 p.m., both at Weston Hall.

4. Tax help for seniors: Weston resident Chick Swain will provide in preparing their income tax returns. The service will be available every Tuesday through April 10 at the Council on Aging; call 781-786-6280 to schedule an appointment.

5. Outside: Today should be mostly sunny, with a high near 45.
