Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 4
Holiday events and concerts highlight a special weekend "Five Things" for your Sunday in Weston.
1. Open house at Golden Ball: At 10 a.m., the public is invited to a holiday open house at the Golden Ball Tavern. Come explore this unique Revolutionary-era tavern, and view the festive holiday decorations created for the museum by the Country Garden Club of Weston.
2. Concert at Regis: Today is the final performance of a Christmas concert at Regis College, featuring the Glee Club, Alumnae Chorus, Chamber Singers, Handbell Choir, and Instrumental Ensemble. The concert will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Casey Theater and tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors and students; and $5 for children.
3. Last day for arts and crafts: Today is also the final day of the Weston Arts & Crafts Association's Holiday Show & Sale. Click to see what WACA president Rees Tulloss has to say about the show, which continues today at the Josiah Smith Tavern Barn from 12-4 p.m.

4. Library cello concert: The Friends of the Weston Public Library will present "Cello Through the Ages," a concert spanning pieces from 200 years of cello music, at 3 p.m. at the library. Boston-based cellist Nick Dinnerstein and accompanist Hee-Young Chae will perform works by Bach, Vivaldi, Duport, Haydn, Faure, Dvorak, Piazzolla, and Part.
5. Trail walk: The public is invited to participate in the 's monthly walk, which will start at 2 p.m. on Highland Street and proceed through a subset of the trails in the Highland Street Forest.
