Five Things You Need to Know: May 2

Early dismissal day for students; green craft project.

1. It will be cloudy with a high near 58 today, according to the National Weather Service. We may also see some drizzle before 1 p.m.

2. The Weston Public Library is hosting a "go green" craft project for children in kindergarten through grade five at 1 p.m.

3. Meet the new director of student services for the Weston Public Schools, Susan Strong, at a coffee at 7 p.m. at Case House. It is the second of four coffees scheduled to meet Strong.

4. The Historical Commission meets at 7:15 at Town Hall, while the Permanent Building Committee meets at 7:30 at Case House.

5. It's an early dismissal day for the Weston Public Schools. Elementary schools will conclude at 11:30 a.m., while the middle and high schools will be released at 12:45 p.m.
