Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 1
Presentation on cyber safety, opening reception for craft show, and more for the first day of December.
1. Cyber safety: Dr. Elizabeth Englander, a noted speaker on Internet safety, cyberbullying and other related issues, will give a presentation called “Kids and the Internet: Cyber Issues All Parents Should Know” at 7 p.m. at the Weston Middle School.
2. Arts and crafts: Also at 7 p.m., the Weston Arts & Crafts Association will hold an opening reception for its annual Holiday Show & Sale at the Josiah Smith Tavern Barn. Stop by and meet the artists while browsing a selection of locally produced ornaments, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, stained glass, woodworks, paintings, photography, fabric art and more. The show will run through Sunday.
3. Government: The Board of Appeals will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Weston Town Hall. Click here to see the agenda.
