Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 27

Ice skating, late-night rain and more for your Tuesday in Weston.

1. Skating at Rivers School: If you're looking for something to do with the kids today, the Weston Recreation Department is sponsoring vacation week skating at the Rivers School. General skating  is from 12-1 p.m., stick time from 1-2 p.m., and helmets are mandatory for all skaters. Click for our full listing of vacation week activities.

2. High School games: Weston High School games today include boys' junior varsity ice hockey vs. Bishop Feehan High School at 7:50 a.m. at  Aleixo Arena, 1 Gordon Owen Riverway, Taunton;  boys' varsity wrestling at Framingham High School (Framingham Tournament) at 10 a.m.;  boys' varsity basketball at Lowell Catholic High School, 530 Stevens St., Lowell (Nashoba Holiday Basketball Tournament) at 3:30 p.m., and boys' and girls' varsity swimming vs. Messalonskee (Maine) at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine, at 6 p.m.
