Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 10
Government meetings, anti-bullying performance at Middle School, and more for your Tuesday in Weston.
1. Selectmen meeting:The Board of Selectmen meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Discussion items range from a tree advisory group candidate to the FY13 proposed budget and financing plan; click here for the full agenda.
2. Other meetings include the Planning Board/Affordable Housing Trust, starting at 6 p.m., Town Hall. The Affordable Housing Trust will begin its meeting at 6 p.m, the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m., and at 8 p.m, the two groups will join for a public meeting to discuss plans for affordable housing on Warren Avenue.
3. High school games: Weston High School games today include freshman girls' basketball vs. Boston Latin School at 4 p.m.; girls' junior varsity basketball vs. Boston Latin School at 4 p.m.; girls' varsity basketball vs. Boston Latin School at 5:30 p.m.; boys' and girls' varsity swimming vs. Newton South High School, Weston Middle School pool, 4 p.m.; freshman boys' basketball at Boston Latin School, 78 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston, 4 p.m.; boys' junior varsity basketball at Boston Latin School, 4 p.m.; and boys' varsity basketball at Boston Latin School, 5:30 p.m.

4. Anti-bullying performance: Parents are invited to attend Urban Improv, an anti-bullying improvisation performance that shows the effects of bullying and aims to help students deal with real-life sutations. The program will be held at Weston Middle School for seventh graders at 8:45 a.m.
