Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 11
Winter storm warning, public meeting on potential Case's Corner roundabout, and more for your mid-week in Weston.
1. Public meeting on Case's Corner reconstruction: The public is encouraged to attend a public meeting for a proposal to reconstruct Case's Corner during the summer of 2012. Presented by the Weston Traffic and Sidewalk Committee, the meeting starts at 7 p.m. and is being held at Case House.
2. Storytime: Parents and other caregivers of 2-year-olds can bring their charges to at the Weston Library. Two half-hour sessions are offered, from 10-10:30 a.m. and from 11-11:30 a.m. Participation is limited to ten child/adult pairs; tickets will be handed out at the library's youth services desk.
3. Author talk: Also at the library, former Weston resident and author Susanne Goldstein will present and sign her book, Carry a Paintbrush: How to Be the Artistic Director of Your Own Career, at 7 p.m.

4. Art gallery opening: At 12:30 p.m., the public is invited to an art gallery opening at the Council on Aging, where artist and Weston resident Cliff Worth, an award-winning cartoonist for the Chicago Sun-Times, will show his work.
5. Storm warning issued: Although today should be sunny with a high of 35, the National Weather Service has issued a , with two to four inches of snow predicted to begin late tonight and continue into Thursday morning.
