Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 30

Board of Selectmen meeting, used clothing donations, and more to start your week in Weston.

1. Meeting: The Weston Board of Selectmen meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.

2. Donate used pants: Through Friday, Feb. 3, the Weston PTO will hold its third annual pants drive to benefit Cradles to Crayons. New or gently used children's pants, sizes 0 to 20, may be dropped off in the lobbies of Field, Country, or Woodland schools.Used pants drive continues this week.

3. Other clothing donations: The WHS Student Council is collecting dresses for Belle of the Ball, which has collected, cleaned and distributed prom gowns at an annual boutique day each April since 2005, providing underprivileged high school girls the opportunity to "shop" for a free gown. You can drop off used gowns at the WHS attendance office through March 15.

4. High School Quiz Show: The yesterday, and the winner was ... well, we can't tell you that, but check in later anyway to read about the exciting tournament.
