Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 4

High school sports, meetings around town, and more for your Wednesday in Weston.

1. Meetings: Meetings this evening include the Permanent Building Committee at 6 p.m. at Case House and the Historical Commission at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

2. High school sports: There's a full slate of Weston High School games today, including boys' varsity wrestling vs. Concord-Carlisle High School at 4 p.m.; boys' varsity ice hockey vs. Dracut High School at the Rivers School, 333 Winter St., at 7:50 p.m.; and freshman girls' basketball at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, 390 Lincoln Rd., Sudbury at 4 p.m.

3. Track meet: Also in sports, the girls' and boys' varsity track teams will compete at their third Dual County League (DCL) meet of the season at Boston University, 100 Ashford St., Boston, at 4 p.m.
