Five Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 28

School sports, letters for troops in Afghanistan and more for your day in Weston.

 

1. School sports: Winter sports begin today. All athletes must pre-register at FamilyID to participate.

2. And more sports: The on Mondays continues at Country School from 2:20-3:15 p.m.

3. Clothing drive: The class of 2013 at Weston High School is organizing a Cradles to Crayons winter clothing drive. Through Dec. 16, donation bins will be in the lobby at WHS.

4. Holiday letters: WHS is also supporting an effort to send a personal letter or card to soldiers in Afghanistan during the holidays. You can also send one of many items on a suggested list, including food, coffee, magazines and more.

5. Outside: Don't leave all the exercise to the kids--it should be a nice day to get out and work off some of that turkey and stuffing, with a predicted high of 63.
