What's up for your Wednesday? Some rain, a new traffic widget and a lecture on Mercury, for starters.

  1. Oh dear, it seems fall is really here, doesn't it? Today's forecast calls for rain after 2 p.m., with temps in the low 50s. It's supposed to rain Thursday, too, where there might even be some snow. (!)
  2. St. Peter's Episcopal Church holds a tonight at 6:30.
  3. As part of its colloquium series, the , "Exploring the Planet Mercury with the MESSENGER Spacecraft," given by Sean C. Solomon, Ph.D., at 7 p.m. They do require reservations due to limited seating.
  4. The will display their Halloween costumes while playing seasonal musical selections tonight at 7:30, at the high school.
