Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 13

The schools are looking some volunteers, plus tonight, the selectmen hold a discussion on pay-as-you-throw trash.

  1. The meet tonight, as usual, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Tonight they will hold a public hearing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on . 
  2. Tonight is also for Woodland School. Parents of kindergarteners and first graders are invited to the school at 7 p.m. 
  3. The Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help take down the 9/11 flags next week. If you're interested in volunteering, call 781-786-6260.
  4. All the schools except Country are looking for parents and guardians to serve on the individual schools' School Councils. School Councils advise the principal on educational needs, the annual budget and school improvement plans. The school district's website has more information if you are interested in applying.
  5. And finally, in weather today, it looks like today will be sunny with a high of 85.
