Get Out: Model Railroad Trains, Owl Prowl and More

It's the end of the week. You're bored. You want something to do. You've come to the right place.

Where/When: , Sudbury, Saturday, Feb. 19, from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

Why Go: The night starts off with a talk about owls found in Massachusetts, and will continue on the trails of the refuge. Participants will attempt to locate owls, and are welcome to bring a flashlight or headlamp. Be sure to dress warmly.

Pricing: free for SVT members; $10 for non-members. Reservations are required.

Where/When: , Wayland, Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Local farmers sell fresh vegetables grown in high tunnels, growing hydroponically and through winter storage. Nothing like fresh veggies in the middle of winter! More than 30 vendors are at the market every Saturday.

Where/When: The Elephant's Trunk Bookstore, Lexington, Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: This new children's bookstore will celebrate its opening with cookies, storytimes and a raffle.

Where/When: National Heritage Museum, Lexington, Sunday, Feb. 20, noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: The Museum launches February School Vacation Week with a weekend filled with model railroading fun. 

Pricing: $7 to get into the special exhibit, but museum admission is free.
