Get Out!: Plays, Performances and More, April 1-3

It's the end of the week. You're bored. You want something to do. You've come to the right place.

1.

Where/When: Weston Town Hall, 11 Townhouse Road, Friday, April 1, 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 2, 2 and 8 p.m.

Why Go: Check out a performance of the musical that focuses on a young woman in New York City in the 1920s.

Where/When: The Dragonfly Theater at RJ Grey Junior High School, 16 Charter Rd, Acton, Friday, April 1, 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3, 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: The musical is a tale of romance between a peasant girl and a rich city boy from the other side of the island whom she saves from a terrible tropical storm. Appropriate for all ages.

Pricing: $10 per ticket

Where/When: Weston High School, 444 Wellesley St., Saturday, April 2, 6 to 9:30 p.m.

Why Go: Families are invited to the high school to watch the movie "Despicable Me" and to take part in a mini-relay with sports and games. Food and t-shirts will be sold. The event is sponsored by the Weston Relay for Life Committee. All proceeds will bedonated to the American Cancer Society.

Pricing: $7 per person, $25 maximum per family (parents are free)

Where/When: Church of The Holy Spirit, 169 Rice Road, Wayland, Saturday, April 2, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Everyone is invited to a spaghetti supper to benefit the local non-profit Hatun Runa. Dinner will be followed by a presentation from Daniel Fernandez-Davila, Wayland Middle School teacher and Peruvian archaeologist
who has worked in the region for several years. Proceeds from the dinner and talk will go towards the construction of a playground at a children's school in Peru.

Pricing: $12 per person (maximum of $40 per family)

Where/When: Weston Public Library, 87 School St., Saturday, April 2, 11 a.m.

Why Go: Learn to prepare at home the simple cuisine that you would get at a small family restaurant in France.  Chef Lori Leinbach is the founder and director of Culinary Underground, and a graduate of the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.  Space is limited to 20 participants, please register at the Information Desk or call 781-893-3312 ext. 3.
