1. 

Where/When: Land's Sake Farm, 90 Wellesley St, Weston, Saturday, May 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Ever thought about raising chickens in your own backyard? Wondering how to get started? Already have chickens, but interested in how others raise theirs? Curious about chicken tractors? All ages are welcome, but strollers are discouraged. No dogs.

Where/When: Spellman Museum, 235 Wellesley St., Weston, Sunday, May 22, 1 to 4 p.m.

Why Go:

Come to the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History for their second annual letter writing day.  Hear co-authors Kate Drury, a postal carrier for over 28 years, and Lois McNulty, whose father was a mailman, share mail carrier stories from their new book "Carried Away." There will also be a demonstration by a professional calligrapher, and children will get help doing their own personalized, self-made envelopes.  Children can write letters to friends, and the Museum will pay the postage.

Pricing: Kids are free; adults are $8

Where/When: Acton Historical Society, 300 Main St., Acton, Sunday, May 22, 2 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Check out a garden tea party and tour at the Acton Historical Society's Jonathan Hosmer House, Jenks Library and barn.

Pricing: $2 donation requested

4. PAUL ANTHONY RODRIGUEZ AT THE HARVEST CAFE

Where/When: The Harvest Cafe, 40 Washington St., Hudson - Saturday, May 21, 8:00pm-10:00pm

Why Go: Sudbury resident and musician Paul Anthony Rodriguez will perform at the Harvest Cafe. Paul has been a part of the local music scene for a few years. He is originally from the Los Angeles area where he performed both as a solo and with various bands.

Pricing: free

Where/When: St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 320 Boston Post Road, Weston, Sunday, May 22, 4 p.m.

Why Go: The Milton String Quartet, made up of former Boston Symphony Orchestra members, plays a benefit concert featuring the work of Dvořák, Mozart, and Mendelssohn. 

Pricing: $20 per person. All proceeds benefit the Alliance for Children Foundation.
