Get Out: Things to Do This Weekend, Sept. 9 to 11

It's the end of the week. You're bored. You're looking for something to do. You've come to the right place.

Why Go: Enjoy a free presentation by Dan Jaffe of the New England Wildflower Society. The planning, design and contents of container gardens will be discussed and demonstrated. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Weston Public Library.

Where/When: Weston Town Green, 400 Boston Post Road, Weston, Sunday, Sept. 11, 12:15 p.m.
Why Go: The community is invited to attend the Weston Clergy Association's interfaith service of remembrance, recognizing the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States. This special commemoration will be led by representatives from Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths.
Pricing: Free


Where/When: Mansion Road and Lake Shore Drive, Wayland, Sunday, Sept. 11, 10:30 a.m.
Why Go: Grab your sneakers and participate in the 15th annual Dudley PondRun/Walk to benefit the Dudley Pond Association. Choose from a non-competitive fitness walk, 2 mile competitive walk, kids race or 5K race. The first 50 registered adult runners/walkers will receive a free official race T-shirt.
Pricing: Children $6, Adults $18 in advance. Children $8, Adults $20 day of race.
