What Is Scheduled During the Weston300 Winterfest?

The most recent edition of You Ask, Patch Answers looks at this weekend's Winterfest.

Next weekend the Weston Town Green will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the Weston300 Winterfest, the official kickoff event for all the festivities planned to celebrate Weston's 300th anniversary.

Winterfest will largely take place on Saturday, Jan.12, but there are events schedule on Sunday, Jan. 13, as well. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun. Check out the schedule below, courtesy of Weston300, for details.

Saturday, January 12, 2013 - 10:00 am-4:00 pm

10:10 am Winterfest officially opens!   Ringing of the Town Church Bells 10:00 am - 11:00 am Free hot chocolate, coffee & bagels 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Tours of historic First Parish Church,refreshments provided 10:30 am - 4:00 pm Horse-drawn carriage rides 10:00 am Live, professional ice-sculpting begins noon North Weston vs. South Weston slap-shot hockey competition. Come early and practice for the match up! 1:00 pm North Weston vs. South Weston snowball tossing extravaganza. Come and support your side of town! 2:00 pm Special performance by the Boston Skating Club 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm Weston 300 Commemoration Ceremony at the Weston High School Auditorium 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Reception at the Town Hall
