Winter Storm Watch Downgraded to Advisory

National Weather Service says any snow accumulations should be light.

Snow shovels and snow blowers may not be needed Thursday afterall.

A day after issuing a winter storm watch for Thursday for Middlesex County, the National Weather Service downgraded the watch on Wednesday to a winter weather advisory.

The advisory will take effect from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Residents can expect snow accumulations from 1 to 4 inches. Any ice that may fall will accumulate up to 1/10 of an inch.

The combination of snow and ice could make driving conditions difficult for the morning commute.

A winter weather advisory is issued when snow and/or ice is forcast to develop, making driving and walking difficult on untreated surfaces.
