Wintry Mix Expected for Tuesday

Weston could get a few inches of snow, plus some rain in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Weston, predicting the area will get a "wintry mix" of snow and rain for most of Tuesday.

The advisory, which is in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., states the area could get 2 to 6 inches, with snow beginning between 8 and 11 a.m. and turning to sleet, then rain, by Tuesday afternoon.

The heaviest snow should fall in central and western Massachusetts, as well as closer to the New Hampshire border, and Weston is likely to remain on the lower side of accumulation.
