Everyone is welcome to come to the Thanksgiving Day service at 10:00 a.m., November 22. Join in singing hymns of praise and thanksgiving for our many blessings. Readings from the Bible and the textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, will be followed by an opportunity for members of the congregation to express their gratitude. Child care will be available, or children are welcome to join their families for the service.
In support of the soap drive for MCI-Norfolk, we invite everyone to please bring extra bars of soap to the Reading Room for collection in November. With 1,500 men, MCI-Norfolk is the largest correctional institution in the area. All contributions must be received by Wednesday, November 28th, in order to reach the men in time for the holidays. Everyone's participation in this effort will be much appreciated!
The Sunday sermon will be based on verses from Psalms, "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust . . . Let the lying lips be put to silence." The one-hour service will begin at 10:00. Sunday school for children and teens will be held during the same hour.
On Wednesday evening, join us for the testimony meeting at 7:30 to hear how spiritual laws continue to operate in our lives today. The meeting is open to everyone and begins at 7:30. Child care is available.
